Memorial Days and Future

MEMORIAL DAYS

Coryell Church Cemetery does not host an annual memorial day.  If sufficient interest be expressed in the future for a memorial day, one can be planned and held. Expressions of interest may be directed to either Robert Clemons, Cemetery Custodian [254-744-1413, rhc1439@gmail.com] or Thomas Carter [512-418-0869, tdcaslc@att.net].

FUTURE OF CORYELL CHURCH CEMETERY

The future of Coryell Church Cemetery will be proportional to the participation by individuals and families whose relatives are buried in it.  Robert Clemons, the volunteer custodian, and one helper are the only people participating in the finance, maintenance, and upkeep of the Cemetery.   Both have parents and grandparents buried there. Robert established and endowment fund from a small bank account turned over to him when he accepted the custodianship, and he has increased the size of the fund through investments.  The total monetary value of the fund, however, is insufficient to pay costs of annual maintenance and upkeep.  Before the end of the 2030, perpetuation of the Cemetery must be established: custodian, volunteer helpers, and financial support.

Consequently, we earnestly solicit help from descendants and friends of persons who are buried in the Cemetery.  Please join us in saving Coryell Church Cemetery.  Our contact information is in “Contact Us.”
